Peace Within Our Own Reach

Peace
Some say that peace might never exist, some say peace is only an arm’s reach away, I say that peace does exist and is within our grasp. Peace exists in many ways, the biggest way this exists is with the little things that come by us in our everyday life. It is only when we lose something we truly understand its important significance it had in our life. Peace exists in those small moments where we find comfort and peace. Whether it be from a hug from a loved one or a night out with those who are important in our life, peace exists in those little moments where everything just seems to come together and only a bright smile comes to our face. I personally find peace when I’m either listening to or playing. Without them in my life, I cannot find peace. Although the world may never find peace because it is plagued by war and famine, its people may find peace with those that they surround them with or in any way that may brighten them up.

  1. I totally agree with you, peace is what makes us feel comfortable. I think that we can find peace everyday, sleeping or eating, or maybe kissing. Everyday we can find a moment to get peace.

  2. I like your simple thoughts, if everyone could think as easy and simple there would probably be a more peaceful world, yet it isn't that way.

  3. That is a really good way to look at it. I guess everyone has to find a way in which they can obtain peace within themselves.

  4. At first in this assignment I mostly considered peace as a global lack of "bad things", but yes the happiness and love of everyday life that humans can share with each other really is a big part of the word! :)

  5. I totally agree with what you said about peace being in the smallest moments that make us happy. That is a very positive outlook on the concept of peace. I guess we have to find peace within ourselves for us to truely achieve peace in a grander scale.

  6. I also agree with you in the fact that we find peace with just the people who surround us, because for me I know I get my peace when I'm with my loved ones and we're all just having a good time.

  7. Well I guess you could have peace with your loved ones but I think that that "kind" of peace is only temporarily and peace at its purest will never be achievable due to the nature of life itself and the conditions that surrounds us. But, of course is always good to have tranquility and stability with the company of others, it's very comforting.

  8. I really liked your post. I especially like how you say that peace exists in many ways, the biggest way this exists is the little things that come by us in our everyday life. Because it's true. Peace does not have to be some big thing in order for it to be considered as peace. It could be any little thing and anything as simple as a hug from a loved one like you said.
